Craig Doss

Craig grew up in Maryborough which is located in the Wide Bay region of Queensland. He began his building career by working for John Watson Builders, constructing new homes and undertaking renovations. In 1990 Craig commenced working for the Department of Public Works and remained with them for 14 years.

During this period of employment Craig worked on a number of small and large scale projects including:

• Maintenance, refurbishment and construction of state education facilities,
  (such as school amenities, teaching and administration blocks);
• Maintenance, refurbishment and construction of government buildings and offices
  (such as Police Stations, Hospital / Health Clinics, Politician Offices, Sporting facilities);
• Construction and maintenance of all government housing;
• Maintenance and renovation of Heritage listed buildings.

In Craig's private time he continued to undertake general building construction and house renovations ensuring that his construction knowledge and experience was balanced between residential and commercial.

In October 2004 Craig commenced employment with a local Brisbane construction company which specialised in commercial and residential construction, building maintenance and boutique housing developments. During this period Craig continued to hone his skills as a competent builder, managing both residential and commercial construction including:

• House renovations;
• New home and unit construction, including townhouses of various sizes, levels and configuration;
• Government construction and refurbishment.

In 2008 Craig formed Comstruct Australia Pty Ltd, a construction company which would provide good old fashioned customer focused service and deliver affordable, superior quality construction. Craig has created a business which allows him to use his extensive knowledge of the residential and commercial building industry, together with his years of on-site experience.

During the last 3 years Craig has undertaken over 100 jobs, ranging in size and scope, in both the residential and commercial sectors. Craig has transformed functionality by undertaking dedicated kitchen and bathroom renovations.

Craig has been helping clients create more space for their families, either by building new houses (both architecturally designed homes and unit complexes), extending existing homes or building decks or outdoor entertainment spaces.

Additionally, Comstruct Australia has been involved in numerous government projects for the Education Department and QBuild, and has completed commercial works for private companies.
